Project Objective:  To comply with SJVUAPCD Rule 4703 for a 2800kW Turbine

Key Players:

  • Stantec Consulting of Walnut Creek, CA was the Engineers for the project
  • R.F. MacDonald of Modesto, CA was the Prime Contractor and responsible for installation of the entire system including supply of Aqueous Ammonia tank, pumps & PLC
  • C&C Panasia of Concord, CA designed, manufactured & commissioned, in conjunction with R.F. MacDonald, the SCR system, including a 19wt% Aqueous Ammonia based AFCU

It took one day to checkout field interface & functionality of all equipment, including dilution air Electric Heater & Aqueous Ammonia Vaporizer (This thanks to thorough factory test & calibration before shipment)

It took one day to take three (3) sets of NOx & Ammonia Slip readings at SCR discharge & optimize Ammonia flow control valve position at the worst condition (High Fire)

(Third Party test results: 3.14ppm NOx / 1.35ppm Ammonia Slip corrected to 15% Oxygen
